About
For the Norwegian educational publisher Salaby I created a series of illustrations for five Polish folktales, featured in interactive e-books for kindergarten children. One of these tales tells the story of a young boy named Piotrek looking for a legendary Fern Flower, that grants wishes.
The plot
Piotrek asks fern flower for eternal richness — of course naively hoping that money can give him happiness. He travels the world, enjoying his effortless prosperity yet still feeling that something in his life is missing. He finally decides to return home, only to discover that his parents are gone, and that his granted wish, ultimately had no true worth.
