For the Norwegian publisher of educational materials Salaby I've created a series of illustrations for five Polish tales. One of them tells the story about the Goats from Poznań.
The plot
Legend has it that Piotrek, a local chef, accidentally dropped the steak he was cooking for the King's visit to Poznań. In a desperate attempt to find an alternative, Piotrek chased two stubborn goats through the streets. The animals ended up escaping to the town hall tower. The curious event impressed the town folks so much that the goats were captured on a statue that still decorates the city hall clock.
